Seated Dance Class is a 50-minute movement experience designed for older adults of all mobility levels, entirely from a chair or wheelchair. Led by dancer and choreographer Lyle Oberman, classes utilize deep beat rhythmic music, counting exercises, and dynamic movement patterns to engage the body and mind in a gentle yet stimulating way. Rooted in the belief that dance is a fundamental part of the human experience, these classes create space for creativity, connection, memory, expression, and joy. Participants are invited to move at their own pace; whether fully dancing, tapping along, or simply sharing presence in the room. More than exercise, Seated Dance Class offers an artistic and communal experience where, for 50 minutes, participants are not defined by age or limitation, but by rhythm, humanity, and movement.
